Lithium batteries with CANbus interface
BSOL currently offers 3 types of batteries with a CANBus interface. These batteries come in 2 voltages, 12V and 18V en 3 capacities; 40Ah, 110Ah for the 12V batterie and 70Ah for the 18V batteries.
The batteries have a special RS485 inter-connection cable that interfaces to an external level-II Battery Management Unit (BMU). This BMU is equipped with a CANbus interface and several hardwired outputs for alarms and to control the load- and charge relais or semiconductor switches. Via the CANbus interface an LCD display can be connected that can show detailed information about the batteries such as:
- State of Charge
- Maximum temperature of the batteries
- Minimum temperature of the batteries
- Maximum discharge current
- Maximum charge current
- etc.
